The Knuckles Fund

[Not ready for publication]

MBTCA member Nancy DeFiesta had trained and shown toy poodles and Dobermans for many years before she discovered Miniature Bull Terriers in the early 1990s. Her first Mini was Crescents T.K.O., call name Knuckles (sire: CH Kingsmere Kemo Sabe, dam: CH Crescent Sonnet of Opalon).

Knuckles went on to become a Champion in conformation and win performance titles in AKC and UKC, culminating in earning the Hildie Award in 2001 — the same year that he died.

To honor her beloved dog’s memory, DeFiesta and several club members launched the Knuckles Fund to help Minis in need.

“For me there’s no greater satisfaction than helping when help is needed. When I hear of the dogs it’s helped throughout the years, it really touches me. Without the support of your donations over the years, and the fundraisers, these needy little Minis would not have gotten the help they needed.”
